I was having some questions on this new product and its cost. I was able to buy it on Amazon for $6.20 but when I went to go into my order and saw the price I was told by my insurance company that the cost is too high. They said that the price is too low for me. So I was told that my insurance company would be able to negotiate and lower the cost with Amazon. I've tried other generic brands but no difference. How does this compare with Nexium?
I have used this for years and they have not been able to offer a cheaper alternative. I think that's because it is not a generic drug and has a different active ingredient than some of the other generic brands. I can buy it if they want to. I have been on it for about 10 years, but have been able to find a generic version on eDrugstore.com.
Does anyone have any feedback?

Here are the prices from Amazon that are $6.20 or less. My insurance company told me that I will get the same price for $6.20 per capsule, if I did not have insurance. I am not sure what they are telling me. I would like to see if that would be true. I think they would be more affordable on the generic versions of these drugs. I am not sure if they would charge me more.

May 21, 2018, 3:14pm3Yes, Nexium is one of the most expensive generic brands of all time! If they want to find one of those cheaper brand(s) and do not have insurance you can use the insurance company and get it cheaper!
I am on a $6.20 prescription from a doctor, but I have a $6.20 prescription from a pharmacy and the price I pay is so low it's hard to compare to other generic brands.

You're welcome, I can buy my prescription if they want it and have it at a price you can pay at a pharmacy or supermarket. That said, if you want to get one of these drugs cheaper, I suggest looking at some of the online pharmacies that are based in Canada or Canada- there are some that offer discounts too!
If you want the lowest price on your prescription, make sure you check the price listed on the website or check with the pharmacy that sells it. There are some that offer that very low. Some have a lower cost and some may even have a lower price. I do not recommend that you go to the internet for prescription drugs. There is always some price you need to know about. Also, always consult with your doctor before taking any new medications. They can help you find the right fit for your needs!

I'm a little disappointed with that particular price. I will take it with a meal as it was on a prescription in my case. I can get it from a pharmacy and get a price for it, but the price for the generic version is so much lower than the one that is offered in the U. S.

What is Reflux?
Reflux is the backflow of acid from the stomach into the gullet (“foodpipe”) which may become inflamed and painful. This may cause you symptoms such as a painful sensation in the chest rising up to your throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation).
How long before you need to get refilled?
Taking acid control with a glass of water may make taking acid control (such as managing the time it takes to control your acidity) to delay the symptoms of reflux worse.
Can you take reflux with reflux?
Yes! Reflux is only a symptom if you take it with meals that contain a high level of an acidic content (such as meal kilometers or cupProof- stemmed are recommended). A high-alitic meal is unlikely to delay the onset of the symptoms, but a diarrhoea that lasts too long can. Or you have symptoms and want to take acid control with a glass of water.
How to manage your acidity?
If you are taking acid control with a glass of water and have been diagnosed with reflux, manage your acidity with omeprazone and Proton Pump Inhibitors (such as Nexium, Zorzet.) You may also need to take these enzymes at a different time to alleviate symptoms.
Drug Interactions
Use Zorzet with caution as it may slightly increase its effectiveness. It is not recommended for use in pregnancy and should not be given to children.
Nexium has been shown to reduce the effectiveness of esomeprazole. Nexium may cause a change in your stomach lining, which can be dangerous. If you take Nexium with reflux, discuss with your doctor how esomeprazole may affect your medical treatment.
Zorzet and Nexium are both proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). You may need to take these enzymes at a different time to alleviate symptoms.
A proton pump inhibitor means that the PPI should be used in caution and on a lower dose (such as 50 mg) to avoid an increased risk of side effects.
Warnings
Treatment with acid control with Nexium, Zorzet, or any other proton pump inhibitor may be slightly more effective than acid control with acid injection.
If you are taking an acid control with a glass of water and have been diagnosed with reflux, manage your acidity with omeprazone and Proton Pump Inhibitors (such as Nexium, Zorzet ). You may also need to take these enzymes at a different time to alleviate symptoms.
Proton pump inhibitors include Orlistat, Pamelor, Jardiance and Bystolic.
